MOSCOW. Dec 31 (Interfax-AVN) - The Interstate Aviation Committee on Tuesday issued a type certificate for the TU-334 short-range airplane, Deputy Prime Minister Boris Alyoshin told journalists in Moscow.
He said that this certificate is a milestone for the country's aircraft industry. The TU-334 has passed all required tests, the deputy prime minister said.
Components for TU-334s will be produced at the Lukhovitsy aircraft manufacturing plant, owned by the MIG corporation, and at the Gorbunov enterprise in Kazan.
"It is important that these airplanes meet Russian airline standards," Alyoshin said.
