NEW DELHI. Jan 19 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia will deliver the Admiral Gorshkov aircraft carrier to India by 2008, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov told journalists in New Delhi on Monday.
"It is planned to deliver the Admiral Gorshkov under this contract by 2008," Ivanov said.
The defense minister said that the contract's cost does not include building a port base for the vessel.
"Developing the infrastructure of the coast, further additional supplies of deck-based aircraft, upgrades and repairs will be included as options," he said.
