ST.PETERSBURG. Jan 21 (Interfax-AVN) - A composite team of officers led by Army General Valentin Bobryshev, Leningrad military district commander, is working in the Arctic region, chief of the district's press service Colonel Yuri Klenov said on Wednesday.
"The inspection will last for a few more days. Special attention is paid to the arrangement of routine activity and combat training in military units, in particular, the arrangement of training in the winter training period. In addition, the team is checking living conditions in garrisons and readiness of medical establishments for the winter," Klenov told Interfax- Military News Agency.
The agenda of Bobryshev's trip includes meetings with chiefs of local administrations and reception of servicemen and their family members on personal issues.
Officers of the district's headquarters, departments and services have recently attended classes in professional training which focused largely on labor protection issues and safety precautions in the light of requirements of the Russian Labor Code and other legal documents.
"While working in garrisons of the Murmansk region, members of the composite team pay attention to these issues as well," Klenov said.
