State housing certificate issue and repayment procedure adopted

MOSCOW. Jan 28 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian government has adopted the procedure for issuing and repaying state housing certificates for retired servicemen, participating in the ongoing program in the Kursk region, funded by the U.S. government, the governmental information department told Interfax-Military News Agency on Wednesday.

The governmental decree states that participants in the U.S.- sponsored program or their family members, needing better housing conditions, who have decided to participate in the federal State Housing Certificates program, are entitled to receive such certificates.

In order to receive a state housing certificate a citizen is to submit a written request to the Russian State Construction Agency (Gosstroi). The workgroup, established in the Kursk region, is tasked with registering housing certificates and explaining their realization procedure.

Gosstroi is also tasked with issuing such certificates.

The decree also states that Gosstroi is to notify the Russian Interior Ministry of retired servicemen, temporary stationed outside Russia and participating in the program, who procure such certificates.
