MOSCOW. Jan 28 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Atomic Energy Minister Alexander Rumyantsev and U.S. Undersecretary of State John Bolton will meet in Moscow on Friday to discuss international cooperation on non-proliferation of nuclear materials and other international nuclear security issues, the Atomic Energy Ministry told Interfax.
The meeting participants will likely discuss "nuclear security issues in Iran, Pakistan, Libya, and North Korea," the source said.
"It is obvious that international nuclear security control needs improvement, because it should adapt to modern reality and the challenges of our time. These are the issues that will be addressed in the upcoming Russian-U.S. talks in Moscow," the official said.
"Russia and the U.S. have been actively exchanging opinions on nuclear issues for over two years," the source noted.
