MOSCOW. Jan 29 (Interfax-AVN) - An all-army C2 strategic CPX is scheduled for mid-February, a competent source in the Russian Defense Ministry told Interfax-Military News Agency Thursday.
"The strategic CPX will be held in accordance with the combat training schedule of the Russian Armed Forces. It goal is to train combat and mobilization readiness, district- and fleet- level wartime leadership skills of Defense Ministry and General Staff officers on some of the military districts and on the Northern Fleet," the source said.
The CPX will cover central and district-/army-level C2 bodies.
"Command and control bodies of other armed authorities, including Interior Ministry Force and border guards, are also expected to take part in the exercise," the source said.
The exercise, except a CPX itself, will include some launches of land-, air-, and sea-based missiles.
