SAMARA. Jan 30 (Interfax-AVN) - Military officials are worried about the level of military discipline in the 2nd Joint Arms Army, the largest unit of the Volga-Urals Military District.
Speaking at the meeting of the Samara military garrison's senior officers on Friday, Land Forces Commander-in-Chief Nikolai Kormiltsev said that the number of crimes and violations in the 2nd Joint Arms Army exceeds that of similar units in other military districts.
Kormiltsev visited Samara within a framework of the joint scheduled inspection of military units, conducted jointed with Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff Anatoly Kvashnin, which is to be completed on Friday.
According to the Land Forces commander-in-chief, in 2003 the 2nd Joint Arms Army accounted for over 500 crimes and violations.
