KHASAVYURT. Feb 3 (Interfax-South) - The deputy chairman of the Federal Security Service department in Khasavyurt, Dagestan, has been severely wounded.
"A Niva off-road vehicle carrying Saidmukhmad Umarov came under fire on a bridge across the Yaman-Su River in the Novolakskoye district of Dagestan on Monday. The fire come from the woods," a source in the Khasavyurt city administration told Interfax on Tuesday.
Umarov was rushed to the hospital in Khasavyurt with severe wounds.
