TBILISI. Feb 3 (Interfax-AVN) - Acting Georgian Defense Minister David Tevzadze will attend an annual security conference that is to take place in Munich this week, a source in the Defense Ministry told Interfax-Military News Agency on Tuesday.
"David Tevzadze will present his vision of European security, confirm Georgia's intention to integrate in NATO and speak about upcoming reforms in the Defense Ministry that will be headed by a civilian starting from this year," the source said.
Tevzadze earlier told reporters that Georgia may become a NATO member already in 2007.
"On the one hand, Georgia must become a truly democratic state, and on the other hand, the Armed Forces must be ready for taking part in international operations," he said.
According to Tevzadze, Georgia fully meets the later requirements. "Our officers and enlisted men are in real demand in the world," he said.
