MOSCOW. Feb 6 (Interfax-AVN) - Special-purpose units of the Interior Ministry Force and Emergencies Ministry units started evacuating the people killed in the Moscow metro terrorist attack at 12:30 p.m. Moscow time (0930 GMT) on Friday, Colonel Vasily Panchenkov, chief of the force's press service, told Interfax- Military News Agency.
"At about 12:30 p.m. Moscow time, special-purpose units of the Interior Ministry Force in cooperation with Emergencies Ministry groups started evacuating the people killed in the train carriage blast on the Zamoskvoretskaya metro line. The bodies are being evacuated through the Avtozavodskaya station," Panchenkov said.
The Interior Ministry Force Command has deployed an operations team on Avtozavodskaya, he noted. "Lieutenant General Alexander Budnikov, representative of the Interior Ministry Force Command, is coordinating all actions of the Interior Ministry Force units involved in coping with consequences of this emergency in the metro," he said.
"Interior Ministry Force units have been reinforced and police posts have been placed at all stations of the Moscow metro," Panchenkov noted.
Colonel General Nikolai Rogozhkin, chief-of-staff of the Interior Ministry Force, said that necessary reserves have been created by units of the force's Moscow district and a detached special purpose division (former Dzerzhinsky division). They will be involved if and when necessary, he said.
