Russia will promote settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

MOSCOW. Feb 6 (Interfax-AVN) - President Vladimir Putin said Russia wants to see a settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

"Russia is genuinely interested in all conflicts (in the post-Soviet space - Interfax), including the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, being resolved," Putin told a news conference after meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Moscow on Friday.

The current situation is "a natural restriction on the development of Russia's bilateral relations with Azerbaijan and Armenia," Putin said. Moscow is interested in "full-fledged cooperation with both of these countries," he said.

Russia is "ready to intensify its search for a solution to the Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict," Putin said.
