MOSCOW. Feb 11 (Interfax-AVN) - The C2 of the Siberian and Volga-Ural military districts liaise with the Railways Ministry within the strategic CPX of the Armed Forces, the interim press center of the exercise told Interfax-Military News Agency Wednesday.
"The Siberian and Volga-Ural Military Districts have started practical liaison with the Railways Ministry for the transportation support of personnel transfer," the press center's statement reads.
According to the statement, these measures are aimed at checking the capability of permanent readiness units to localize possible military conflicts after long-range railway transfer.
The statement also reads that the exercise is part of a general plan for mobility training of the Armed Forces in 2004.
