Some 44 kilos of plastic explosives found in Chechnya

KHANKALA. Feb 11 (Interfax-AVN) - Almost 45 kilos of plastic explosives were found in Chechnya's Sunzhenskaya district, a spokesman for the Anti-Terrorist Headquarters in the North Caucasus told Interfax on Wednesday.

"While conducting special operations in the village of Sunzhenskaya, policemen found a cache containing seven black packets of plastic explosives weighing 44 kilos," the spokesman said.

The contents were sent for examination. Law enforcers are continuing efforts to determine who made the cache.
