MOSCOW. Feb 20 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov said in Moscow on Friday in response to a question from Interfax-Military News Agency that he was satisfied with the results of the January-February strategic command post exercise (CPX) of the Armed Forces.
"The strategic CPX is ending on February 23, but it is already clear that all goals, including experimental ones, have been attained. We have a new missile system which is on the cutting edge not only for Russia, but also worldwide," the minister said. He, however, has not disclosed the name or performances of the new weapon.
Ivanov emphasized that in the long run Russia's security is guaranteed.
"We have made sure that we can guarantee Russia's security for long-term future," he said.
