KYIV. Feb 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The Ukrainian Security Service has freed and returned home four Ukrainian women, aged 19 to 24, who had been kept in sexual slavery in West Africa for several months.
The service had been tipped off that an international criminal group had illegally taken several Ukrainian women via Cyprus to a West African country where Ukrainian peacekeepers were serving, military counterintelligence department spokesman Yuri Koyev told a Wednesday briefing in Kyiv.
The women had been stripped of their documents and were locked up in two houses of prostitution.
