CHITA. March 1 (Interfax-AVN) - Siberian Military District air defense units have begun field training, district air defense chief of staff Colonel Vladimir Shumsky told Interfax-Military News Agency Monday.

"The units will stay at the training fields of their divisions until mid-March. They will complete company-level teamwork exercises," Shumsky said.

He added that in addition to tactical, special, and NBC test missions, the personnel would be tested for adverse-terrain vehicle driving and firearms shooting skills.

"All this will be another step towards the final stage of the winter training course: a tactical exercise with live missile launches.
