SEVEROMORSK. March 5 (Interfax-AVN) - Navy Commander-in- Chief Vladimir Kuroyedov testified before the Northern Fleet Court in Severomorsk on Wednesday.
The court is considering a case concerning the deaths of several members of the nuclear-propelled K-159 submarine crew, a source in the court told Interfax.
Kuroyedov argued that then fleet commander Admiral Gennady Suchkov, who has been suspended from the command, was fully responsible for the fleet at the time and thus is to blame for the loss of the submarine's crew, the source said.
