Govt. reorganization will take several weeks more - Putin

MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax-AVN) - The reorganization of the Russian government will take another several weeks, President- elect Vladimir Putin has said.

"Unfortunately, the government has not yet become efficient enough and requires further reorganization, which will continue another several weeks," Putin said at an informal meeting with journalists following a press conference early on Monday.

Putin said he will do its best "to keep the government awake."

"It's necessary not only to know what has to be done but also how it can be done," Putin said. "In the early 1990s, there was understanding as to what had to be done, but this was being done untidily, by fair means or foul, so as not to roll back to the past," he said.
