MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax-AVN) - As of 10:00 a.m. Moscow time (0700 GMT) on Monday, Vladimir Putin received 71.2% of the votes in the presidential elections, Russian Central Election Commission Chairman Alexander Veshnyakov told a briefing on Monday.
Ninety-nine percent of the votes had been counted by that time.
"Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has been elected president of the Russian Federation," Veshnyakov said.
Nikolai Kharitonov collected 13.7% of the vote, Sergei Glazyev 4.1%, Irina Khakamada 3.9%, Oleg Malyshkin 2%, Sergei Mironov 0.8% while 3.5% of the voters cast their ballots against all candidates.
