MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian ambassador to Tbilisi Vladimir Chkhikvishvili was summoned to the Georgian Foreign Ministry on Monday where an official told him about Georgia's surprise over the statement on Ajaria made by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Sunday.
Georgian ambassador to Moscow Konstantin Kemulariya told an Interfax news conference on Monday that "Georgian Foreign Ministry officials have told Ambassador Vladimir Chkhikvishvili that Georgia is indeed surprised by the Russian Foreign Ministry's position and statement on the mounting tension in Ajaria."
Georgia will "take every necessary step to make sure that every interested ministry and agency receives absolutely truthful information (on Ajaria - Interfax) and that untrue or unchecked information is not disseminated anymore," he said.
