TBILISI. March 23 (Interfax-AVN) - Ukraine will return seven military helicopters to Georgia after repairs within a month, a source in the Georgian Defense Ministry told Interfax-Military News Agency.
"Three MI-24 Hind, two MI-14 Haze and two MI-2 Hoplite helicopters were repaired a long time ago, but Georgia had no money to pay for the order's implementation to Ukraine. Now the payment issue has been solved," the source said.
He did not disclose the amount of payment, but said that the money will be transferred "gradually and on favorable conditions for Georgia."
Excluding the helicopters to be returned from Ukraine, the Georgian Air Force operates seven SU-25 Frogfoot attack planes, two MI-8 Hind helicopters and seven Iroquois helicopters handed over from the U.S.
