MOSCOW. March 29 (Interfax-AVN) - Georgian Defense Minister Gela Bezhuashvili is due to visit Moscow on Tuesday, the Russian Defense Ministry told Interfax-Military News Agency.
"During negotiations with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov, Bezhuashvili will discuss the state of Russian-Georgian military cooperation, in particular, the conditions and the timeframe for the functioning of the Russian bases in Batumi and Akhalkalaki," the ministry said.
During the visit, which will last until Thursday, Bezhuashvili will meet with Viktor Zavarzin, the head of the Russian State Duma committee on defense, and will visit the 27th motorized brigade of the Moscow Military District, which is stationed in Moscow's district of Tyoply Stan.
