KHANKALA. March 29 (Interfax-AVN) - During the week ending on March 28, rebels in Chechnya blew up 18 cars, trucks and armored vehicles, a source at the headquarters of the federal forces in the North Caucasus told Interfax-Military News Agency.
In addition, 18 instances of shooting at federal soldiers and seven clashes between army formations with rebels were registered.
"The clashes occurred in the Kurchaloi, Vedeno, Achkhoi- Martan, Nozhai-Yurt and Gudermes districts," the source said.
In the Kurchaloi district, Chechen President Akhmad Kadyrov's security service working jointly with federal troops detained some 20 rebels hiding with their relatives. A secret depot of arms and ammunition sufficient for arming up to 50 persons was also discovered during the same effort.
