Russian Navy chief to supervise Black Sea Fleet exercise

SEVASTOPOL. March 29 (Interfax-AVN) - An exercise under supervision of Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Kuroyedov will take place at the Black Sea Fleet from Monday to Sunday, the fleet's press service told Interfax-Military News Agency.

"Seventeen warships, 36 auxiliary vessels, attack planes, military transport planes and helicopters of the Black Sea Fleet aviation are assigned for the war games which will take part in the central and eastern parts of the Black Sea. The maneuvers will involve about 8,000 people," the press service.

The exercise is taking place during the check of winter training results at the Black Sea Fleet which is performed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces. A team of General Staff officers has started working at the fleet.
