TASHKENT. March 30 (Interfax-AVN) - Nineteen people were killed and 26 injured Monday in two bombings at a crowded market in central Tashkent, Uzbekistan's prosecutor general said.
"Nineteen people, including six police officers and one child, were killed, and 26 were injured," Rashid Kadyrov told a news conference in Tashkent. The country set up a government commission to investigate the attacks. The commission, headed by Uzbek President Islam Karimov, has already had its first meeting.
