MOSCOW. April 13 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Air Force chief of staff Colonel General Boris Cheltsov has left for Sweden for participation in joint military events, Colonel Alexander Drobyshevsky, chief of the Air Force press service, told Interfax- Military News Agency Tuesday.
"The Air Force chief of staff will visit the main HQ of the Swedish Armed Forces, and Sotenes and Norrbotten AFBs," he said.
He said that also Cheltsov was expected to hold talks with deputy commander of the Swedish Armed Forces Lieutenant General Hans Berndtson.
"In addition, Colonel General Cheltsov was invited to briefings on the Swedish Armed Forces and Grid-based Defense Automated Command and Control Systems," Drobyshevsky said.
At the airfields, Cheltsov will see how pilots are trained for the Grippen fighters, C-130 transport planes, and reconnaissance planes, he added.
