MOSCOW. April 30 (Interfax-AVN) - Most Russians stand for maintaining Russian military bases in CIS member-states.
A total of 76% of 1,600 respondents backed maintaining Russian military bases in Georgia (13% against, and 11% abstained), 73% in Transdnestria (14% and 13% respectively), 78% in the Crimea (Sevastopol) (11%, 11%), 75% in Tajikistan (12%, 13%), the Yury Levada think-tank told Interfax-Military News Agency on Friday.
The poll was taken on April 23-26, 2004.
