GROZNY. April 30 (Interfax-AVN) - Chechen conscripts will serve in regiments located in all regions of Russia.
"Another sign that indicates that the situation in Chechnya is stabilizing is the conscription of Chechen young men for fixed terms of service in the Russian military. The young men who were conscripted this spring will perform their service in all military regions of Russia," a source in the regional headquarters managing anti-guerilla efforts in North Caucasus told Interfax-Military News Agency on Friday.
According to the source's information, one of the other priorities of the local conscription offices is to draft contract servicemen from Chechnya.
