VLASIKHA, Moscow Region. May 6 (Interfax-AVN) - Nuclear facilities under the Russian Strategic Missile Forces are well protected, Commander Nikolai Solovtsov told reporters Thursday.
"The protection of silos and command posts of the Russian Strategic Missile Forces was ensured from the very start," he said. "All facilities under the Russian Strategic Missile Forces are being reliably protected."
The combat training plans of the Strategic Missile Forces for 2004 stipulate an even higher level of security at nuclear sites, Solovtsov said.
