Two guerillas killed in Grozny

GROZNY. June 16 (Interfax-AVN) - Two members of guerilla units have been killed in Chechnya's Grozny in a special targeted operation carried out by law enforcement agencies, the Chechen Interior Ministry told Interfax on Wednesday.

Several guerillas, who had been on a wanted list on suspicion of having committed grave crimes, put up resistance by opening fire when the law enforcers tried to detain them. The policemen fired in response and killed two rebels, the Interior Ministry said.
