CHITA. June 16 (Interfax-AVN) - About 400 generals and officers of the Siberian military district have taken part in night live firing in the framework of a methodical session, Colonel Valery Shcheblanin, chief of the district's press service, said on Wednesday.
"A six-week training session of unit commanders, their deputies, division-level chiefs of military branches and arms of service is underway in the district. Last night, about 400 generals and officers fired small arms, drove and fired tanks and IFVs at a training ground," Shcheblanin told Interfax-Military News Agency.
The session is supervised by district commander Colonel General Nikolai Makarov.
"The district commander and his deputies addressed participants in the session. The reports were devoted to combat training arrangement, military discipline, and supervision of the troops' routine activity. Detained practical, demonstrative and methodical classes will be held on these issues," Shcheblanin noted.
