ST. PETERSBURG. June 16 (Interfax-AVN) - The Rubezh 2004 special tactical exercise started at the Military Medical Academy training center in Krasnoye Selo outside St. Petersburg on Wednesday.
"Both future military medics, cadets and officers, and their colleagues from the Leningrad Military District medical service, the Leningrad naval base, and other law-enforcement agencies will be improving their skill for the next few days. They take part in the large-scale Rubezh exercise on annual basis in order to improve medical assistance on the contemporary battlefield," Lieutenant General Boris Gaidar, head of the Military Medical Academy, told Interfax-Military News Agency.
The Military Medical Academy training center in Krasnoye Selo features an exhibition of medical equipment and medicines, used to treat the wounded and the sick in field conditions.
The Rubezh 2004 exercise is monitored by representatives of the Russian Armed Forces Medical Corps, who have arrived from Moscow.
