Moldovan Defense Ministry holding large-scale CPX

CHISINAU. June 17 (Interfax-AVN) - Moldova is holding a command post exercise (CPX) that involves all components of the national armed forces, a spokesman for the Defense Ministry said on Thursday.

"The CPX aims at rehearsing all aspects of activity of the General Staff and operations teams in case various emergency situations emerge," the spokesman told Interfax-Military News Agency.

Special attention will be paid to working out an algorithm of interaction between military bodies and local administration and optimization of joint efforts aimed at coping with crisis situations. In addition to the National Army, the exercise involves units of the Carabineer Force and Border Guard Troops Department.

According to the spokesman, a similar exercise is scheduled for the second half of the year. It will be a continuation of the current exercise, though involving larger forces and assets.
