Bodies of killed border guards reposing in state in Vladikavkaz

STAVROPOL. June 25 (Interfax-AVN) - The bodies of border guards killed in Ingushetia overnight to Tuesday were reposing in state in Vladikavkaz on Friday, the press service of the North Caucasus regional border guard directorate reported.

Four officers and two privates of the Nazran and Vladikavkaz border guard detachment were killed in rebel attacks on several Ingush villages, the report reads. "The oldest of them, Senior Lieutenant Vasily Tretyak is a graduate of the Nizhny Novgorod Military Medical Institute of the Federal Security Service. He turned 30 in December last year. The officer will be buried in Stavropol, where his parents are residing," the press service said.

The directorate's servicemen have decided to collect donations to help the deceased fellows' families.

According to official information provided by the Ingush government, 98 people were killed and 104 wounded in the rebel raid overnight to Tuesday.
