MOSCOW. July 2 (Interfax-AVN) - The work on future spacecraft development was an issue discussed at a joint session of the Federal Space Agency (FSA) board and the Space Force military council, a spokesman for the FSA told Interfax-Military News Agency Friday.
"The FSA board held a session Thursday, co-chaired by the Agency's head Anatoly Perminov and Space Force Commander Vladimir Popovkin to discuss the state of affairs in the development of future spacecraft," the FSA's Vyacheslav Davidenko said.
According to him, the session was attended by representatives of the Russian Security Council, Defense Ministry, and leaders of space industry organizations and enterprises, involved into spacecraft development. Speaking at the session were Deputy Director General and Designer General Gennady Anshakov of the TsSKB-Progress Spacecraft Center and Alexander Lebed, Deputy Designer General of the TsNIRTI institute.
Reports were also delivered by Vladimir Karasev, Director General and Chief Designer of the OPTEks Scientific and Production Enterprise, Valery Tarasov, Deputy Director of R&D institute of automatics, Alexander Kirilin, Director General of TsSKB-Progress, Boris Poletayev, Director General and Designer General of the Arsenal design bureau, and other enterprise leaders.
"They spoke of the manufacturing capabilities preparation and production of spacecraft, avionics, data reception and processing systems, and delivery of new equipment," Davidenko said.
According to him, the leaders of industrial enterprises spoke of the results achieved by their enterprises in the past few years, and specified the tasks pertaining to the development of future spacecraft.
"FSA board chairman Perminov pointed out the importance of the tasks facing the Agency in the sphere of military spacecraft development. Space Force Commander Popovkin added that the Space Force would demand the organizations and enterprises concerned to meet the pre-set schedules," Davidenko said.
