Preparations for Rubezh-2004 military training completed in Kyrgyzstan

BALYKCHI. July 29 (Interfax-AVN) - The first training preceding the Rubezh-2004 military exercise was held last week in the military camp Edelweiss, located near Issyk-Kul Lake in the Kyrgyz mountains, Interfax has learned.

Besides ground troops, the training involved tanks, as well as Kazakh and Kyrgyz armored vehicles and military helicopters.

The training was overseen by Kyrgyz military men.

There were no incidents during the training, Kyrgyz Colonel Abybila Kudaiberdyyev, the head of the camp, told Interfax.
