MOSCOW. Aug 6 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia has declared the Lithuanian military attache in Moscow persona non grata, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Friday.
"The Lithuanian Republic's charge d'affaires was invited today to the Russian Foreign Ministry, where he was told that because of his activities that damage Russia's economic interests, Col. S. Butkus, the Lithuanian military attache, had been declared personal non grata and has two days to leave the country," the press release said.
"The charge d'affaires was also told that Russia will not agree to accredit Col. R. Zibas as the new military attache," it said.
