Two caches destroyed in Chechnya's Gudermes district

KHANKALA. Aug 25 (Interfax-AVN) - Two arms and ammo caches were found in the Gudermes district of Chechnya on Tuesday, the Russian Interior Ministry's provisional press center in the North Caucasus told Interfax-Military News Agency.

"The first cache was located in Gudermes and supposedly owned by a rebel sniper. It contained a sniper rifle with a sight, a large stock of full magazines for the rifle, as well as hand grenades, cartridges and a mine," a press center official said.

The other cache was found on the outskirts of the Gerzel-Aul village.

"It stored about 100 rounds for underbarrel and portable grenade launchers," the official said.

According to him, "both caches were destroyed by blast."
