43 bodies found at plane crash site near Tula

TULA. Aug 25 (Interfax-AVN) - Rescuers believe they have recovered all the remains of the people who died in the crash of a Volga-Aviaexpress TU-134 Crusty passenger jet in the Tula region on Tuesday night.

"As of 2:40 p.m. Moscow time (1040 GMT), the bodies of 43 people had been found, along with two black boxes" a source in the Emergency Situations Ministry's information department told Interfax on Wednesday, referring to rescuer workers at the crash site.

Members of the state commission investigating the crashes are expected to arrive at the scene soon, the source said.

The TU-134 crashed in the Tula region while travelling from Moscow to Volgograd on Tuesday evening. According to data from the capital's Domodedovo airport, the plane was carrying 43 people, including 35 passengers and 8 crewmembers.

A Siberia Airlines TU-154 Careless flying from Moscow to Sochi, which was carrying 46 people, including 38 passengers and 8 crew, crashed at approximately the same time in the Rostov region.
