MOSCOW. Aug 25 (Interfax-AVN) - Over 1,500 servicemen of the Russian Interior Ministry Force are involved in the search operation on the scenes of TU-134 Crusty and TU-154 Careless passenger airliner crashes, force commander-in-chief Colonel General Nikolai Rogozhkin said on Wednesday,
"Over 1,500 servicemen of our force are taking part in the search for debris and killed passengers on the plane crash scenes in the Rostov and Tula regions," Rogozhkin told Interfax-Military News Agency.
"Part of the personnel are sealing off the quite vast crash areas," he said.
"The personnel of involved Interior Ministry Force units will stay on the crash scenes as long as it is needed. Responsible services have taken measures to provide soldiers and officers with everything they need in field conditions," Rogozhkin noted.
According to reports from the scenes, servicemen of the force have registered no violations of public order, he said.
Two planes that took off from Moscow's Domodedovo airport crashed late on Tuesday. A TU-134 plane flying to Volgograd crashed in the Tula region, and a TU-154 heading for Sochi crashed in the Rostov region.
According to preliminary reports, all the passengers and crewmembers, a total of 89 people, were killed.
