Belarussian servicemen to fire live ammo in Russian testing ground

ASHULUK. Aug 26 (Interfax-AVN) - The Belarussian air force and air defense units training at Ashuluk training range in Russia's Astrakhan region have cleared tests and will be allowed to fire live ammunition since Thursday, an Interfax correspondent reports.

A total of 68 Belarussian servicemen and 156 defense hardware units are involved in the exercise. Russians made some of the hardware, in particular several surface-to-air missile systems available to the Belarussians.
