DUSHANBE. Aug 26 (Interfax-AVN) - U.S. Ambassador to Tajikistan Richard Hoagland said his country currently has no plans to deploy its troops in Tajikistan.
Hoagland told a news conference in Dushanbe on Thursday that he has already informed the Tajik authorities of U.S. general plans and told them that his country currently has no plans to deploy some of its military units in Tajikistan.
The implementation of U.S. redeployment plans is due to continue for about ten years, he said, adding that no final decision has been made yet on how this operation is going to proceed, the ambassador said.
