MOSCOW. Aug 30 (Interfax-AVN) - A strategy for the Russian aviation industry's development will be defined by the end of September, Federal Industry Agency chief Boris Alyoshin said at a Monday business lunch organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Moscow.
It is necessary to merge all aviation plants into one that can make 21st century planes, Alyoshin said. It is also necessary to pool international scientific efforts into fundamental research on new generation planes, but compete in the production of specific models, he said.
"The technological development of Russia is unthinkable without integration with the West," he said.
Alyoshin called for innovations that will help to transform science into industries.
