Terrorists in N.Ossetia pass mobile phone number to officials

VLADIKAVKAZ. Sept 1 (Interfax-South) - The terrorists who are holding hostages in a school building in the North Ossetian town of Beslan have passed a note with their mobile phone number to law-enforcement officials. But the number is blocked so far, the headquarters to free the hostages told Interfax.

The headquarters comprises the top officials of the republic's law-enforcement agencies, representatives of the Interior Ministry and the Federal Security Service, and commanders of the 58th army.

One terrorist and two civilians have been killed. Nine people suffered injuries and were hospitalized, the headquarters said.
