32 terrorists participated in seizure of hostages in Beslan - prosecutor

VLADIKAVKAZ. Sept 6 (Interfax-AVN) - Thirty-two terrorists participated in the seizure of hostages in the North Ossetian town of Beslan, Russian Deputy Prosecutor General Sergei Fridinsky told Interfax on Sunday, citing hostages' accounts.

The bodies of 30 terrorists have been discovered, including four found last night, Fridinsky said.

He said there were people of various ethnic origin among the hostage-takers, including Chechens, Ingushes, Kazakhs, Arabs and Slavs.

But not all of the bodies have been identified thus far, said Fridinsky.

On September 1, terrorists attacked a school in the North Ossetian town of Beslan, seizing over 1,000 hostages, among them children, their parents and teachers.
