Putin declares Sep 6-7 days of mourning

MOSCOW. Sept 6 (Interfax-AVN) - President Vladimir Putin has signed an instruction declaring September 6-7 official days of mourning in connection with the deaths of Russian citizens following the terrorist actions in the North Ossetian town of Beslan.

The Russian flag will be flown at half-staff throughout the whole of Russian territory during the days of mourning. All cultural institutions, television companies, and radio stations cancel their entertainment events during the days of mourning.

The Russian government, jointly with all other government agencies, will take steps aimed at providing assistance to the families of those killed.
