MOSCOW. Sept 9 (Interfax-AVN) - The MIG Aircraft Building Corporation will demonstrate its products for the leaders of diplomatic missions and military attaches of African and Middle Eastern countries at its production facility in Lukhovitsy on September 22, MIG acting Marketing Director Sergei Chumachenko told Interfax-Military News Agency Thursday.
"The need for the presentation is determined by the great interest in our products on the part of African and Middle East countries. I would say that a certain boom has been observed of late. The contacts have increased radically," he said.
According to him, Sudan, Zimbabwe, Chad, Equatorial Guinea and some other countries show direct interest in the MIG aircraft. Relations are progressing with Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya as well. "We often meet with representatives of these countries at exhibitions, and welcome delegations," he said.
He added that the Kamov company was invited to participate in the exhibition. MIG has the control stock of the Kamov.
MIG is going to demonstrate the new modifications of the MIG-29K Fulcrum, MIG-29KUB, MIG-29M, MIG-29M2, and MIG-29SMT. According to experts, these aircraft integrate the best design solutions and technological achievement of earlier versions of the MIG-29 Fulcrum. The fighters can employ the whole range of modern airborne weapons, including the guided air-to-air missiles, like the R-73E, RVV-AE, R-27ER and R-27ET, and the air-to-surface missiles, like the KH-25ML, KH-29E, KH-31E, KH-31A and KH-35U and others.
MIG can offer the African and Middle East customers not only the aircraft, but the whole range of follow-on services throughout the life cycle, as well as ensure the training of pilots and technicians.
