TBILISI. Sept 10 (Interfax-AVN) - Georgia is building and strengthening its army "to be able to repel possible aggression on the part of certain external groups which pose a threat to its security," Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said at a meeting with the Abkhaz leadership in exile on Friday.
Georgia "is not going to wage war against its own population, the Ossetians or the Abkhaz people" but intends to unite the country, Saakashvili said.
"It would be fine if it is a mutual process, because in this case everyone will benefit," he said.
