Several hundred reservists participate in CPX in Penza region

YEKATERINBURG. Sept 14 (Interfax-AVN) - Several hundred reservists, quartered in the Penza region, participated in the five-day command post exercise (CPX) that finished in the region, a source in the Volga-Ural Military District Staff told Interfax-Military News Agency Tuesday.

"We refined partial mobilization of several hundred reservists in the course of the CPX," he said.

The reservists mobilized for the training underwent medical inspection, received uniform and were sent to units and military organizations as planned.

Apart from military command of the district and units, regional administration, military commissioner's offices, and other uniformed agencies were involved into the CPX, held with Colonel General Nikolai Tkachev, Chief of Staff, Volga-Ural Military District, in charge.

A Volga-Ural Military District press service official told Interfax-AVN that it is the first time since such exercise was held in the region a decade ago. Similar exercises were organized in the past three years in the Orenburg and Sverdlovsk regions, and the republic of Tatarstan, the press service said.
