TSKHINVALI. Sept 15 (Interfax-AVN) - A shootout, which occurred outside the Georgian village of Tamarasheni on Wednesday morning, did not result in any casualties, Colonel Andrei Pryakhin, Assistant Commander of the Joint Peacekeeping Force in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict area, told Interfax-Military News Agency.
"At about 5 a.m. Moscow time (0100 GMT) on Wednesday morning the village of Tamarasheni saw a half-hour bilateral chaotic shootout, with rocket launchers and assault rifles fired. There are no casualties," Pryakhin said.
He also said that at the present time peacekeepers were determining the cause of the shootout.
